I'm really just a science geek with a passion to express my wonder of nature through art.

I love the drama and versatility of acrylic paint along with the lower toxicity impact to the environment.

The style I’ve chosen to pursue can be defined as imaginative realism. Being a true science geek, I explore natural beauty and paint on the edge of what's visible, adding my own intuitive imagination.

My process starts with a direct relationship with the subject matter. In a “hands on” approach, I sketch my impressions and take my own resource photos, which may involve considerable time and observational visits. I continue my process by creating miniature color and composition studies as I pull ideas from scientific concepts that fascinate me. My finished paintings are the product of many hours of behind-the-scenes research, brainstorming, and dreaming.

1st Show in My New Home - Oregon!

My first Oregon showing was a Solo Show of my full portfolio at Central Art Gallery in downtown Medford.

Thank you to everyone who came out and special thanks to those who discovered a new piece of art to take home!

Imaginative Realism - Art Infused with Science

My love of nature and deep curiosity for the bio-mechanics of living things fascinate me and inspires my art. These four cactus skeleton paintings are examples of my imaginative realism style.

Exhibitions & Galleries

My art was in a juried semi-solo show at ASU Grammage Auditorium and a solo show at the Arizona State Capitol.

My art has been shown in the Coast Gallery, Laguna Beach, CA.

My work has been exhibited in a variety of venues: Herberger Theater Art Gallery, FOUND:RE Hotel Phoenix, Art Intersection Gallery, Arizona Artists Guild and the West Valley Arts HQ Gallery.

My art "Prickly Pear Cactus Bloom" is a commissioned piece, displayed at 144th Ave.  and Indian School Road,  through the City of Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission, Arizona.
