Whether creating a peaceful space in my garden, waking up in the forest on a camping trip, or hiking with my husband -
I find the greatest connection with my own mortality and transcendence when I'm immersed in nature.
My love of nature and deep curiosity for the bio-mechanics of living things inspires my art. I explore my world by painting on the edge of what I can see with my eyes, pulling in ideas from my biochemical studies and adding my own intuitive imagination. These four cactus skeleton paintings are examples of my adaptive realism style.
I am currently in the Coast Gallery, Laguna Beach, CA.
I recently had a juried semi-solo show at ASU Grammage Auditorium and a solo show at the Arizona State Capitol.
My work has been exhibited in a variety of venues: Herberger Theater Art Gallery, FOUND:RE Hotel Phoenix, Art Intersection Gallery, Arizona Artists Guild and the West Valley Arts HQ Gallery.
My art "Prickly Pear Cactus Bloom" is a commissioned piece, displayed at 144th Ave. and Indian School Road, through the City of Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission.
I'm pleased to have been interviewed and featured in the Art Habens art review based out of Austria, EU.
I've been very fortunate to have the opportunity to demo my artwork at the Herberger Annual Festival of the Arts (2yrs) and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West in Scottsdale.
